Roasted black milk tea
Got this recipe from a teammate—it’s so easy and so good :) It’s been less convenient to pick up storebought milk tea these days, so this really hits the spot when the craving hits!
Ingredients:
- 3 bags Tetley’s Orange Pekoe tea
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 3 cups whole milk
Instructions:
- Rip open tea bags and pour contents into a saucepan, along with the sugar.
- Toast on medium heat until, well, toasty haha. The sugar may start crystallizing—use a wooden spoon to break into smaller pieces.
- Warm the milk in the microwave (1.5 mins or so), then pour into the saucepan. Mix well, and let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Strain, then chill in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours or overnight.
- Enjoy :)
Makes 2 servings.
